Villa Serena Lives Up to Its Namesake

Find Serenity In the Costa Rican Jungle

Costa Rica is known for its lush jungle landscape and gorgeous coastlines which border the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Atlantic on the other. Deep within the landscape yet still easy to access is an exclusive area called the Papagayo Peninsula, which is host to the best of the best when it comes to private residences.

It’s within this enclave that the Villa Serena lives. A four-bedroom villa designed with contemporary comforts in mind, Villa Serena brings together modern needs within the privacy of this gated hilltop escape.

Once guests pass through the villa’s entrance and further though the open concept living room, beyond the massive glass doors, residents arrive at an awe-inspiring, uninterrupted view of the ocean. These views sweep across as far as the eye can see and serve as the backdrop for the stay and can be enjoyed from all over the villa, including three of the bedrooms.

Villa Serena has been designed to soothe and relax; to be luxurious yet comfortable. Much of the villa is finished in creamy-whites, but texture and pops of color have been added through the generous use of wood (in the trim and furniture) as well as soothing pops of color such as aqua and light emerald. Think textured wall coverings in the delicate shade of blue, or rugs and throw pillows that add dramatic moments of green. These choices of color tie the home together with the sea and jungle just outside.

Although this villa’s raison d’être are comfort and relaxation, and as such, it’s the perfect place to host a family without feeling as though everything inside and out is too precious. The open plan supports easy movement throughout the home while on-property amenities like a hot tub, barbeque grill, and infinity pool are easy hubs for the family to gather.

When looking to experience life outside the villa gates, there are all the activities that make up the recipe for a perfect holiday such as tennis, shopping, restaurants, the great outdoors, and of course, the pristine beaches for which Costa Rica has become known. Pro tip: be sure to visit little coves and inlets that run along the deep green waters of the Pacific, which are perfect for dips, but also for very special views.
One of the best parts of the location of this villa is that it is less than one hour away from the Liberia International Airport, which makes transfers to the property quick, easy and seamless.
