What takes you to Savannah, Georgia? Where are you staying and any cool restaurant you are excited to try?

Savannah is one of the oldest cities in the U.S. and it's full of wonder! Full of southern charm mix with antebellum architecture, Savannah is home to stunning ornamental ironwork and accents of the Victorian period. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Perry Lane Hotel in the Historic District. Honestly, this hotel is a must! It feels more like a Southern mansion than a hotel. There are incredible art pieces everywhere and it has a stunning rooftop view of the city!

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I'm Wendy and I'm a style blogger, content creator, juvenile justice advocate, and cat momma. I worked in finance for a long time, and one day, decided that it wasn't for me. Without a backup plan, I quit. I wanted to do something in the creative field, and got really lucky that I found a path in blogging and content creation. I've been in this field now for almost 8 years. And within the last 3 years, I established the Wendy's Lookbook Foundation. I've been a juvenile justice advocate longer than I've been a blogger. Growing up in the foster care system, I know how broken this system is. With the WLB Foundation, we provide emergency housing, medical, educational, and financial support to young adults impacted by the juvenile justice system.

How would you describe your style and inspiration?

I'm inspired by the city girl. The girl who's fearless, who loves mixing high and low, who's tough and driven, and passionate about the world around her. My style is heavily influenced by this archetype. I love combining masculine details with feminine elements.

You are quite the jet-setter. What are some essentials that you cannot travel without?

I try and consolidate my skincare and hair routine into something manageable when I travel. I always have my SK-II Facial Essence, Biossance Squalane Phyto-Retinol Serum, and Living Proof Dry Volume Blast with me. I tend to get cold on flights, so I always have a leather jacket with me.

If you could live & work anywhere in the world, where would you choose to be and why?

Oh man, this is a hard question! I'd love to be bicontinental! I love NYC. The energy, the speed, the people, it's an incredible place to live. But once in a while, it would be nice to get away and recharge. My boyfriend and I talk about this a lot. We'd love to live somewhere in Sapa, Vietnam. To have a little house with a garden, an enclosed outdoor patio space for our cats to play in, to be somewhere that's quiet, and surrounded by mountains and terraced paddy fields. That way, we get the best of both worlds. The fast pace energy of NYC and the lush peaceful world of Sapa.
